Maine is full of great comic book creators. So, we thought we’d ask another to join us on The Maine State of Mind. Welcome, Bob Tkacik!

Tkacik is the mind behind, Good Boy Paws. The new kickstart driven book is the story of an abandoned helper dog learning about who he is and what he was meant for. Good Boy Paws’ first issue will be a 28-page black-and-white book.

The Maine artist has also been involved in Summer of ’74 issue #1 as the book’s illustrator. He has also done variant covers for various other books, including the Black Caravan exclusive variant of Black Friday issue #1. Most recently, Tkacik was one of the lucky illustrators to have his own variant cover of The Last Ronin #1.

Tkacik will be visiting our very own Paul Eaton‘s Galactic Comics and Collectibles (547 Hammond Street, Bangor, Maine) on Saturday, June 5 for a special and safe meet-and-greet. Bob will have variant covers, original art, new prints, and stickers available for purchase. This event is being co-hosted by our friends at the Bangor Comic and Toy Con.

Be sure to follow Bob Tkacik on Instagram and buy something from him on his website.
